Prior to arriving in the U.S., Hong was a certified midwife delivering many infants at Shanghai's International Peace Maternity & Child Health Hospital. She came to New York in 1999.  After receiving her Business Degree from New York City College, she decided to continue her work in the medical field and follow in her grandfather’s footsteps. He had been an Acupuncturist and Qi Gung Master.  Influenced by his work of helping people, she choses to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and obtain a formal degree in acupuncture and herbs to help people in the same traditional ways he successfully had for so many years.

Hong Zhuang's work is heavily influenced by Worsley's Five Elements philosophy, and both Master Kiiko Matsumoto's Japanese and Traditional Chinese styles of acupuncture. She was well trained in each of these three styles  and helped many patients to improve their quality of life.  Currently she serves patients in Rockland County at her recently renovated Zeng Natural Healing Center in Nanuet NY.
